Digital archive of images from the Russian "Resurs-O1" series satellites started to pile up in the middle of 1996. In autumn 2000 the archive replenishment was terminated because of the "Resurs-O1" No. 3/4 failure. Nevertheless the data from the MSU-E instrument (35 m of spatial resolution) and the MSU-SK instrument (140 m of spatial resolution) acquired within the four years of operation covers a vast territory including the largest part of Russia and the adjacent countries.
Until March 2006, the archive was updated with MSU-E data from the Meteor-3M satellite operating since December 10, 2001. Currently the archive data input is suspended due to the sensor deactivation.
