Chile earthquake consequences: detailed space imagery data

Imaging of the town of Constitucion (Talca Province, around 260 km south-west of the Santiago, the capital of Chile) was conducted in behalf of the Emercom of Russia. This town was damaged as a result of the February 27 devastating earthquake. Detailed unbiased spatial data of the disastrous area were acquired on March 2 from EROS B satellite (Israel, resolution: 0.7m) by the request from ScanEx RDC. The image illustrates the destructions in the coastal area of the town, caused by the tsunami.

Moscow Settlement of Rechnik Captured from Space

The ScanEx Center has received highly-detailed color images of the settlement of Rechnik, which became a subject of public scrutiny due to the land title disputes. The settlement was imaged on February 16, 2010 using the hardware onboard the WorldView-2 satellite with spatial resolution of 0.5 m upon the request of ScanEx RDC.

SPOT 4 satellite operations have been resumed after orbital parameters corrections. Starting on February 6 the space vehicle has been performing long-swath imaging in direct access mode of the Russian territory on all passes over the country.

Quick construction of anaglyphs and 3D terrain models improves information support quality during emergency response

ScanEx Center has developed a service enabling to quickly construct an anaglyphic image and 3D-tarrain models of the areas of interest. ScanEx Image Processor software application ensures getting an anaglyph in 30 minutes after delivery of a space image. Creation of the 3D terrain model takes first hours after the image acquisition. The service of quick anaglyph construction and 3D visualization is meant for information support of fast emergency response groups.
